Planning permission is not normally required; our buildings fall under permitted development (built under 2.5m high externally). Our garden buildings do not require building regulations approval either.

However, should planning be required, we will be more than happy to help with the process. Don’t let the need for planning put you off as planning as 95% of applications are approved.
The need for planning permission is generally dependent on where you live and not related to the garden room building itself.
Most areas in the UK do not require planning permission for a garden room. If you live in a listed building, flat, maisonettes or SSSI (site of special scientific interest) then you will require planning permission for your building – otherwise you shouldn’t need it.
There are also considerations for those who live in AONBs and Conservation areas that affect where your green room can be built in your garden – but it does not affect your rights to have a garden room.
